Half-Life Opposing force is the official expansion pack for the smash hit Half-Life. What made Half-Life so good was its single player story, it was intriguing, exciting and it really immersed a lot of gamers. After a disastrous experiment at the top secret Black Mesa research facility, Gordon Freeman had to find a way out and a way to stop the invading alien forces. However the government sent up hundreds of troops to clean up everything and everyone in the facility. In Opposing Force, you are Adrian Shephard, one of the soldiers sent to Black Mesa. After the initial moments of the game, your objective changes, and you need to fight your way to get out. The game includes new enemies to fight, but it also includes more weapons to fight them. There are also a group of AI characters that can help you in your task, such as security guards, scientists and other soldiers. The game plot is very good and the gaming experience is as good as it can get. If Half-Life was the game of the year then this is the expansion pack of the year. It is available on Steam, which is Valve's official store, for only $4.99, which is a great deal.
